The Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) offers training for both supported and suspended scaffolding through the Scaffold Industry Association Training Program (SIATP). The course materials have been developed by experts within the association and scaffold industry. Courses are conducted throughout the United States and Canada by SIA members that have been approved by the Training Program Committee as Accredited Training Institutes (ATI). Approximately 10,000 students have been trained since the SIATP was established.

The primary goal of Action Equipment & Scaffolding Co., Inc. are to promote safety through the development and implementation of educational training programs and courses that promote safety in the scaffold and construction industry.

In our ongoing effort to provide safety, Action Equipment & Scaffold is certified to teach Scaffold Industry Association classes in User Hazard Awareness, and CPT (Competent Person Training). Action teaches the User Hazard Awareness course in English and Spanish at 2229 S. 16th Street. Action is also a member in the Scaffold, Shoring & Forming Institute (SSFI). This association is made up exclusively of manufacturer's in the scaffold, shoring and forming industry. Its purpose is to promote safety procedures, regarding the use of their equipment and to develop industry acceptable testing criteria for manufacturers to use for comparable results and quality assurance to the end user. Courses offered;

Scaffold User Safety and Hazard Awareness
For employees that perform work while on a scaffold. The program covers safety with regard to falls, falling objects, electrocution, unsafe access and collapse. Emphasis is on hazard identification and accident prevention.

Scaffold Competent Person Safety Training (CPT)
Available in all three major supported scaffold systems: Frame Scaffolds, System Scaffolds and Tube and Coupler Scaffolds. This program is for scaffold erectors and covers all the safety aspects regarding Scaffold Foundations, Scaffold components, Regulations, Guardrail requirements, and erection and dismantling procedures for scaffolds that exceed the height to base ratio and need to be stabilized.

Suspended Scaffold Training
Explains how to set up, operate and inspect suspended work platforms. The person completing this course will know the basics required to use suspended equipment safely.

Systems Scaffold Training Endorsement
Explains how to set up, operate and inspect systems scaffold. The person completing this course will know the basics required to use systems scaffold equipment safely.

Tube & Coupler Training Endorsement
Explains how to set up, operate and inspect Tube & Coupler. The person completing this course will know the basics required to use tube & coupler equipment safely.

OSHA 10 & 30 Hour Training
The OSHA Outreach Training Program is the primary way to train workers in the basics of occupational safety and health.

Mast Climber Training
With a mast climber rental, this training explains how to set up, operate and inspect mast climbers. The person completing this training will know the basics required to use mast climber equipment safely. This program is for users and inspectors and covers all the safety aspects regarding mast climbers.
